BALDA HEALTH IS THE PRIVATE PRACTICE OF
DR. LAURA BALDA & Dr. Tarah Freyman

Dr. Balda is a board-certified family medicine physician and the founder of Balda Health. She received her medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, Florida.

More than a physician, Dr. Balda is a passionate patient advocate whose success with helping patients lose weight, live well, and minimize the need for medications has earned her a Patient’s Choice Award. She treats every patient as a unique individual and seeks to understand how physical, genetic, psychosocial and spiritual factors affect the overall state of wellness. Utilizing this philosophy, she develops deeply personalized prevention plans that directly impact her patients’ health and longevity.

When Dr. Balda is not practicing medicine, she is an active mother of three and avid long distance runner.

Dr. Freyman graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 2005 earning a degree in Human Nutrition. She went on to attend the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine where she completed four years of medical school, followed by post-graduate internship and residency training to become fully board-certified in Family Medicine in 2013. Dr. Freyman has additional specialized training in Lifestyle, Integrative, and Functional Medicine, and in 2019 was awarded a full scholarship to complete the Plant-Based Nutrition certification program through eCornell University. In 2022, Dr. Freyman completed the SSRP certification course in Peptide Therapy.

Dr. Freyman spent several years working as a full-time staff physician for the prestigious Cleveland Clinic before transitioning into corporate health and wellness, where she worked for the City of West Palm Beach Employee & Family Health Center. She has extensive experience in primary care and enjoys treating patients of all ages. In 2019, Dr. Freyman partnered with Balda Health, where she continues to deliver the best in concierge care. Additionally, she is pleased to volunteer as a pro bono physician at the Caridad Center in Boynton Beach, seeing patients there each month.

Dr. Freyman practices the most current evidence-based medicine available, while using a holistic and individualized approach to each patient.

In addition to her calling as a healer, Dr. Freyman is a loving wife to her husband, Charlie, and devoted mother to their two wonderful children, Matilda and Grover.
